SHAREBOARDING
Our shareboard program is a little different than most barns, but we think that's why it's great! Shareboarders don't lease a specific horse but they lease the right to ride any of our lesson horses one, two, or three times a week. We think it's beneficial to every rider to get out there and try different horses, so they can learn to handle different quirks and situations. No two horses are the same, and at Red Cedar Farm we want to give everyone the most well-rounded horse experience we can.
Shareboarding is a great option for someone who wants a horse without all the extra costs. Riders have access to each horse's specific tack and grooming equipment. You can use the arena when there are no lessons, the roundpen, the back field/jumping course, or take to the trails for a fun adventure!
To be eligible, we require all future shareboarders to come in and show us they can do everything they need to on their own. This includes getting a horse from the pasture, putting them in crossties, finding the right tack for that horse, grooming, picking hooves, tacking up, and riding. This is important for the safety of both the rider and the horses. If you are interested in shareboarding at our facility, please fill out the contact form below and someone from Red Cedar Farm will be in touch with you shortly to set up a meeting.
